FLG 2020 Annual Meeting
Monterey Fire Pavilion, Sat. July 11 at 9am
Introduction of board members by President, Richard Jaffe.
Michael Germain, Hy Rosen, Greg Carnese, Bill Ban, Laura Mensi, Roberta Hutcher, Kathy Frank
Richard discussed what the FLG does for the community in regards to monitoring the health of the lake which benefits everyone who uses it. Greg Carnese wrote a summary of the FLG activities which was distributed to all attendees.
Richard informed attendees that any complaints regarding activities or problems with people using the lake should be addressed with Town of Monterey police and/or administration. These things are not the responsibility of the FLG.
Next, Michael Germain gave a detailed review of FLG activities: discussion of milfoil, Cyanobacteria, phosphorous, DASH, grants, 3 legged stool, cause of dead fish late spring, purchase of device to check health of lake, share cost of this with 5 other lakes

Introduction of Shannon Poulin by Michael Germain. Shannon led a discussion regarding her testing and monitoring of lake water

Michael Germain continued discussion regarding lake water: 604B grant regarding building a retention basin near Hupi Road 2nd elevated phosphorus levels due to runoff.
Creating a tax district was discussed, the approximate cost per lake residents, the pros and cons of doing so.
Discussed FLG website. Notified attendees that source of information regarding lake history, results of lake water testing and ability to make donations through site.
Meeting concluded with board election. All nominees were unanimously voted another term.
Gary Klein, Diane Zager and Stacey Spector all volunteered to help if needed. Their contact information was shared with the board.
Remaining FLG hats were sold out at $25/hat.
