THE ROADSIDE STORE AND CAFE 275 Main Road, Monterey, MA
The Roadside Store & Café is located on Route 23 (275 Main Road) in Monterey, MA- just a stone’s throw away from Gould Farm. It is open to the public for breakfast and lunch. The menu includes foods and products from our Farm including fresh eggs, cheese, homemade granola and yogurt, and our famous pancakes with our own maple syrup.
The Roadside Store and Café is a favorite of locals and visitors to the area. It was rated one of the top five restaurants in the country for breakfast by Bon Appetit Magazine. We also sell local food products including Gould Farm cheese, eggs, syrup, pancake mix, and other treats produced on the farm and locally in the Berkshires.
The Roadside Cafe will reopen in 2024.
THE BIDWELL HOUSE MUSEUM 100 Art School Road, Monterey, MA
The Bidwell House Museum, set in the Berkshire hills of Western Massachusetts, is an elegant Georgian saltbox originally built circa 1760 as a parsonage. Authentically restored, filled with antiques and surrounded by 192 acres of beautiful grounds and hiking trails, the museum tells the story of the early settlement of the Berkshires. The museum is open Thursday through Monday between 11 am and 4 pm from Memorial Day to Columbus Day, with tours on the hour.
MONTEREY TOWN LIBRARY 453 Main Road, Monterey, MA
The Monterey Town Library has been under renovation this past year. It has now reopened. Local Museum passes are available. They are free.
